This course is designed for anyone bringing home a new puppy who desires an effective and methodical method for teaching their puppy good toileting habits, it’s adaptable to a variety of lifestyles, from urban dwellers, to those in rural areas.
This course is not designed to modify the behavior of adolescent or adult dogs who have a history of toileting indoors, while you may find it helpful in retraining such a dog, the course is not designed to rehabilitate chronic house soiling dogs. Instead this course is designed to prevent such problems by teaching puppies the skills they need to know in a methodical manner, and with respect to the maturity and needs of the puppy.
House Training is one of four important tasks each new puppy owner needs to accomplish, along with confinement training, socialization, and relationship building. These tasks are somewhat intertwined and by their nature each is important. We have long felt that house training was overdo for an updating, older traditional protocols were too rigid, and often set both puppy and owner up for frustration and confusion, both of which hinder the vitally important relationship building that occurs in the first days and weeks in the new home.
We set out to create a system kind to both puppy and owner, that sets both up for success (and sanity) during the busy first few weeks in the home.
