Now that the puppies have been settled in to their first weaning pen for about a week we can prepare for the next set of changes. Breeder To Do:1.Gather Supplies needed to expand the weaning pen (zip ties, x pen panels, bolt snaps, sheets for privacy screens and etc).2.Observe Puppies for litter box use and accidents in the crate.3.Expand weaning pen and observe how this changes puppy behavior.4.Gather supplies to set up Success Stations at the crate back5.Gather bowls for individually feeding puppies in crates (bowls, treats)Breeder Goals:1.Puppies will be attempting to use the litter box and not the crates to void.2.Puppies are choosing to rest in crates.3.Puppies will eat out of individual bowls either singly or doubled up, in crates.4.Puppies are eating enthusiastically5.Breeder will start feeding puppies inside crates6.Breeder will start teaching puppies to run into crates for meals.7.Breeder will continue to use treats and social interaction to reinforce any puppy who chooses to enter a crate (no luring!)
