Shark School is a detailed, step-by-step protocol for helping caregivers survive puppy biting, mouthing, and chewing with their sanity, skin, and belongings, intact.
This course is designed for puppies under the age of 6 months, though many of the techniques are readily applicable to older juvenile and adolescent dogs. For best results start this course before your puppy comes home, but if your puppy is already in your home start the course materials as soon as you can. If your dog is over 6 months and is still exhibiting some impulsive biting, mouthing, and chewing behaviors that are NOT serious or injurious in nature (meaning you have no fear your dog will injure you, and your dog has not injured any person excluding the typical puppy scratches and bites), you can try the protocols and techniques herein with the understanding some will not be applicable due to age and maturity. In all cases if you are scared your dog may injure someone, or someone has already been injured, it's time to employ a behavior specialist. Shark School is not designed for any dog showing serious aggression, especially if the dog is over 6 months. If you have a juvenile, adolescent, or adult dog that is showing any signs of aggression please seek out a veterinary behaviorist, an applied animal behaviorist, or a credentialed behavior counselor. The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants is a good place to start this search.
But, if your puppy is driving you to distraction with their mouthy, toothy, and chewy puppy behavior this is the class for you.
